Take a Look Around A-long, the side of the road, In bloom, flowers start to grow, Leaves start, to form on the trees, Bird songs, float through the breeze, It sounds picturesque, and so it should be, But rubbish and fly tips are all you can see, The roadside, the fields, the mountains and streets, Littered with filth, discarded with ease, There's no excuses, You're lazy not inert, Still no excuses, Clean up the fucking earth, The bins are all empty, the floor's fucking full, Bags filled with dog shit, on branches they pull, Tv's and settees, look down from up high, Packets and wrappers blow around in the sky, There's no excuses, You're lazy not inert, Still no excuses, Clean up the fucking earth, Polyethylene - polluting the streams Polystyrene - it has no real means, Cellulose acetate - all over the place, Industrial waste - removed then replaced, So when, when you look around, are you ok with what you see? (What you see) Are you, you so self absorbed and ignorant to the debris? (To the debris) At what, what stage does it get before you start to give a fuck? (Before you give a fuck) How long, how long will it take before you change the way you act? Before - it gets - too late - it's too late.

Stockholm Syndrome Trapped inside, there's no way out, We stare down the barrel, Demands are made, we're getting played, There's just one outcome, We try to fight, to do what's right, We're overpowered, When help arrives, we analyse, No way in, Is this what you have become? Helping those who did us wrong, Changing sides, believing lies, Refuse to be rescued, You close your eyes, they're in disguise, You're still trapped, Are you refusing help? You're not only punishing yourself, Are you on their side now? Another nail gets hammered in, It's not what we deserve, You're still a victim you know? Is this your final choice? Is this how you wanna use you your voice? They're not, for you, or me This wasn't meant to be, We're supposed to be free, We're not meant to be caged, We're meant to be enraged, Time is now running out, And we're still locked inside this room, Help is on the other side, Call out, call out for me, Silence is deafening, Our pleas are falling on deaf ears, You've become one of them, The creator of your demise, What have you done? What have you done? What have you done? What, what, what have you done?

System Failure Hungry and homeless asleep on the street, Begging for change just for something to eat, Ignored by the many, dismissed and alone, Let down buy a system that looks after their own. Austerity across the nation, This is not, Strong and stable, They're gonna pay, the next generation, This is more, Fuck you, Children in school get meals taken away, Complete disregard if unable to pay, The start of a class war at such a young age, Puts pressure on parents on minimum wage. There is, no cash, For stuff, we need, But there's, always, Money, to fill the, Pockets of the rich elite to keep the Tory crooks upbeat, while benefits from disabled are cut by 30 pounds a week. Is this what you voted for? Strong and stable, kill the poor? Hospital corridors aligned with the ill, The beds on the ward continue to fill, The doctors can't go home, to see their kids, Our health being sold off for the highest bid, Austerity across the nation, This is not, Strong and stable, They're gonna pay, the next generation, This is more, Fuck you,

State of Affairs The state of affairs in the world is fucking with my head, I'm so sick, of the small minded racists that have been misled, Can you, explain in layman's terms why it's so great to be white? Destitution 02:41
Destitution The factories are closing, the buildings are folding, as companies pack up and move far away, the walls turn to rubble, there's thousands in trouble, lost and forgotten like yesterday's news, Is - this - your vision, of our future? Is - this - what you wanted? Do you not care? Three hundred and fifty, Million a week, A promise you made, No intentions to keep, A trade deal was ready, Oven ready, no fuss, Redundancies rising, It's a mass exodus, What do we do now? When there's no more jobs, no more industries, What do we do now? When we lose our homes and our security, Unemployment rises, along with food prices, as millions more people fall on troubled times, zero hour contracts at best in point of fact, are what is on offer for the fortunate few, Is - this - your vision, of our future? Is - this - what you wanted? Do you not care? Three hundred and fifty, Million a week, A promise you made, No intentions to keep, A trade deal was ready, Oven ready, no fuss, Redundancies rising, It's a mass exodus,

Time Waits For No One Where has the time gone? My own reflection, Is a stranger staring back at me, I look in his eyes, Older and wiser, But weighed down with responsibility, He wears the same clothes, And knows what I know, He shows me memories of what we were, Once young and care free, Stupid yet happy, Immortality oblivious to time, Now is your time, Now is your time, The walls are changing, Crowds rearranging, The place that I once knew has now become, Different faces, And empty spaces, A prison for my old memories, The clock keeps ticking, And time keep drifting, Disconnected from reality, Time waits for no one, It's come and it's gone, So make the most of things you hold dear, Did you take notes along the way? Can you remember yesterday? The candle wax still burns, The second hand still turns, Old faces fade to grey, Pain doesn't go away, Memories and remorse, Burdened along the course, Weighed down, bruised and broke, Still fighting as I choke, I long for betters days, I want back yesterday, Please stop the hands of time, Please place your hand in mine, What will be will be, C'est la vie, Photographs of time gone by, Never fail to make me smile, What will be will be, C'est la vie, I can't take back yesterday, In my mind you will stay, I won't, forget, about, you Time waits for no one you'll see.

Social Experiment We are all a social experiment, Is everybody now content? With the British government, Have we given up the fight? Have we lost touch with what's right? Is the anger slipping away? Do we have anything left to say? Our main objective is no more, May as well just close the door, Where's the riots, where are the protests? Where's the justified unrest? Where's the vote of no confidence? Are we living in pretence? Are we putting up with this? The whole charade stinks of piss, I'm not ready to be done, I can't be the only one, And when, they try, to sell, their lies, They'll test our, reactions, based on their, distractions, they'll prod, and poke, do we, revolt, or do we, just lay down, and watch, Watch the world burn, The writing's on the wall, Do we stand proud or fall, Do we just accept we're slaves, From the cradle to the grave, Divide and conquer's the tactic, Keep us segregated and static, Fill our minds with grand disillusions, Of power, choices, solutions, Mainstream media provides our thoughts, Acts of rebellion fills reports, Do as they say not as they do, A model citizen becomes you, The writing's on the wall, Do we stand proud or fall, Do we just accept we're slaves, From the cradle to the grave, We're all an experiment, Social experiment, We will not overcome, Until we unite as one.

Drinking After The Bell The bands packed up and everyone's gone home, So now we're left here at the bar, It's nearly one, but we're not done, So now we're gonna do more shots, The bar staff mop up around our feet, Tequila dribbles from our nose, They wanna go, we're in full flow, So let's do some more shots, Yes I know we're getting in the way but we don't wanna leave, we really wanna stay, it can't be time to go, the bottle isn't dry and I've still got sight in one eye, Hey, another round, who's turn is it to pay, put it on my tab sort it out another day, share a bag of crisps, turn up the stereo, we'll all be fucked tomorrow, We're not going home til sunrise x2 So now we're talking shit, it's late into the night, just sitting in the dark, drinking by moonlight, the bar staff have all gone, they've left us with the key, let's do a round of whiskey, Sambuca, rum and coke, a large glass of wine, sing (along) to the songs a little out of time, go out for a smoke, there's blue sky in our eyes, not going home til sunrise, One more for the road, it's time to say goodnight, we'll do the walk of shame out in the morning light, no one says a word as we go our separate ways, just nod and smile and wave, We're not going home til sunrise x2 The band packed up and everyone gone home, We were just sat there in the bar, Til nearly 8, that night was fucking great, But now I am old and need sleep, Now I am old and need sleep.
